Morrice Foursomes Finals
Great Performance by ESN Ladies
The ESN ladies team were
Jane Saunders, Sandra Ashman, Sue Hollands, Clare Kunz, Debbie Ash, Corrina Smith & Sue Davis.
The semi-finals and finals of the Morrice Foursomes were played on Monday 20th September at Nevill Golf Club. 43 Sussex Golf Clubs took part in the annual knockout, starting in Spring of this year. The semi-finalists were East Sussex National v Dyke and Worthing v Chichester.
Matches on the whole were close with Dyke GC and Worthing GC reaching the afternoon finals.
After a quick lunch East Sussex National were back out to play against Chichester for third or fourth place, with Dyke and Worthing following in the final. The weather turned a little warmer and all were desperate for a win. East Sussex National were beaten by Chichester so they were the victors which give them 3rd place.
The first match in the final between Dyke GC and Worthing GC was very close and they had to go down the first, but in the end they were called in as Dyke’s 2nd and 3rd matches were victorious.
