Gareth Clark hosted a fantastic day on Friday 9th July with 24 teams taking part in a 4-person, shotgun start event. Raising funds to support the outstanding work of The Motor Neurone Disease Association, the players enjoyed warm weather and superb course conditions. It was great to see the decking area full with members and guests, including a strong contingent from the world of football. Gareth sends his thanks to everyone for being so supportive of a Charity that is very close to his heart and is thrilled with the amount raised. Fundraising has started brilliantly with Ken Stafford raising over £4,100 (almost £5,000 with Gift Aid) for successfully completing 60-holes in one day last month. Gail, Gareth's mum, joined the fun on Friday and was thrilled with the support and generosity of members, friends and guests commenting that:
"Friday was very special. Everyone surrounding me, all the golfers and the people supporting them were very happy. I enjoyed people watching and listening to them laughing. Laughter is the very best medicine. It is a day I will always remember",
