Each month we are going to start to post a topic in the club news mainly covering rules and etiquette. This month we are starting with pitchmarks. Please view the attached image which we hope will help give you the understanding on how a pitchmark should be repaired.
Did you know?
The average number of pitchmarks made on greens per round is 8 per golfer. Assuming only 130 rounds are played each on day our greens receive 1,040 impressions daily. This would equal to 31,000 per month and more than 374,000 per year. To make our putting surfaces the best they can be please can all members repair their own pitchmarks and others you may see.
