Mixed v Nizell GC
The weather did its best to show its many facets over the West Course at ESN on Sunday 14th July Cloudy breezy bit of rain mixed with intermittent sunshine A full team of 8 couples arrived from Kent Must mention the bag drop guys who do their jobs so well All our bags on our trolleys and lined up to go like a Formula One Start
Off we went with 2 games off tee 17, 2 off tee 18, and 4 off First tee Nip and tuck in most games and nip and tuck in the overall score of 4-4 Honour shared A nice result Fine margins The battling Lockyers losing on the 18th despite a fine par 4 from Moira matched by a winning 6 footer from our opponents Notable victories for Captain on the day Tony Wregglesworth and Chrissie Benz John and Liz Ditchburn Barrie and Sue Hollands John and Juliet York
Followed by a super 2 course meal
Many thanks to the Chef and all the staff for looking after us so well
A successful day drew to a close and hopefully enjoyed by all A huge thanks from me for all who played and support the Mixed Matches We look forward to the return fixture at Nizels on 25th August
