As I said at the AGM I believe we need more social events at the club to develop what is already a strong and growing camaraderie in the Club. These events should be open and supported by all sections and will help to grow our membership and allow the owners to continue to invest in our magnificent course layout.

It is just over a month to go to our first major social event of the year, when on May 17th there will be a Sportsmans Dinner in the Evening preceded by a friendly Everton vs Liverpool Golf Match.

In the afternoon there are 32 places (possibly more depending on demand) for an EFC vs LFC Golf Match commencing 1st Tee @ 12:30.
The Team captains will be:
Kevin Ratcliffe: Former EFC Captain of the dominant 1980's Toffees
Alan Kennedy: famous left back and winning goalscorer in the 1981 European Cup Final
The golf is a bit of fun and will be a starter before the main course of the Team Captains making after dinner speeches followed by a Scouse Comedian Gary Skyner and a two course meal.

All sections are welcome although we should work on the premise that the Comedian may not be suitable for those more easily offended ..... Please bring along friends and family as appropriate and help us to sell the 120 tickets we need to break even.

The cost is £30 to members and £45 to non members (green fees) - there are post around the Claret Jug.

We are looking for sponsors and raffle donations for anybody who can help.
