Tom’s brilliant shot game saved him again when a parachute style pitch resulted in a conceded birdie with Mark O’Hara with one-hand on the trophy having already made his birdie.
The match finally ended on the 3rd extra when Mark O’Hara found the water from his tee shot, leaving Tom Foreman with 2 putts to win the Trophy and a worthy winner. Tom commented afterwards ” we had a great game and Mark played really well, we did ask could the Trophy be shared as neither deserved to lose, although I am delighted to have won!”
Trophies and prizes were presented by the Club's owner, Michael Hunt who joined the 60 members for the dinner.
Mark O’Hara won the Stableford competition with 35 points in the gale force wind conditions with Sterling Wakefield & Rob Thompson were 2nd on 33 points.
Mark Earley won the league & Mike Ormiston Trophy for the first time, despite a last day defeat, Mark had secured sufficient points last week to just pip Simon Burton for the title.
There were only two players who made 2’s paying £282.50 each, Colin Oliver & Jordi Southgate.
