Only 20 players braved the atrocious conditions today in the Ladder, the low attendance meant that there was opportunity for players to climb or fall as there was plenty of snakes around.

Alan Ratcliffe, who once appeared with Peter Cushing in an early Hammer Horror Movie, The Curse of Frankenstein, his first and last appearance as a budding actor, he's now putting fear in the players in Ladder as everyone know's it will be difficult to dislodge the former champion.

There were several games offering 30+ climbs or drops, with a few players taking advantage. Tony Breslin has moved from 54 to 2 in two weks, with Mark Earley back to no.3.

There were also some good performances from those players who fended off challenges from below, notably Chris Pardey (17) who was challenged by Graham Chapman (72) with Homi Falak moving into the top 30.
