Terris Texas Scramble

Yesterday saw the Terris Texas Scramble take place on a nice summers day. Each team had to use 4 drives per person including one on a par three, making the 17th an extremely daunting hole with a good score on the line! The scoring was good all day with the worst nett score being a 65.
A special shout out to the junior team of Owen Ridley, Ralph Hogg, Sam Dugdale and Will Scott. They had an impressive nett 54 (gross 65) including 2 bogeys on the card. The juniors are always at the club putting in the work and it is great to see the lads improving at such a quick rate. Their score was good enough for 3rd place.
The team of Robbie Cullen, Charlie Cullen, Tom Gilligan and Ben Morris set the early lead with a nett 51, with a gross 57. The 2 on 17 was very special with all the pressure on the tee box. They made a total of 14 birdies which was good enough for second place losing on countback. Their gross score was also the best score of the day.
The winning team was Roger Wallace, Kenny Hogg, Craig Marshall and John Wright, with a score of 51 (gross 63), beating 2nd on countback. They finished with 4 birdies in a row for a nett 24 on the back nine, a seriously impressive round of golf. Congratulations to them!
There were a total of 8 counting 2's on the 2nd and the 17th. The two's were worth £24 each split between each team. Phil Pattinson, Joe Pattinson, Craig Handford and Steven Cullen were the only team to makes 2's on both the par threes.
The President's Medal competition begins this week on Thursday. Spaces are still available throughout the day, get yourself booked in and we will see you there!
