Easter Egg Scramble
(Toblerone actually)
32 ECGC members turned out for the closest result in a Texas Scramble ever - we could only separate the top 2 by 0.39, so really did require a calculator to check the final scores! We had regulars and we had newbies, including some brave ladies like Akiko and Amanda in their first ECGC event. Don Ross nearly had to do the impossible and play in two teams, but once we realised the error, the teams set off for their starting hole. We then had rain (not much), sunshine and a lot of wind, but most of all we had a good laugh scoring some cracking rounds. Even our last place finisher managed to score a gross 68 (par for the course), so the team allocations clearly worked.

In terms of the top 3, in third place were Gordon, Mick S, Steve W and Winnie with net 49.95. In second place was Nick Simmonds, Glen, Brian D and Birgit with 49.28, and in front by a whisker with 48.89 was Billy, Jim R, Jean M and Richard.

Most importantly we raised a net £300 for Captain's charity, so thanks for buying all the raffle tickets and creme egg Chicks. Big shout out to Rob James, who's wife Amanda managed to pick his raffle ticket out of the hat for Ritchings Park - he immediately asked for another ticket to be pulled out to share the 4-ball voucher with, so a very nice gesture.

Big thanks to Winnie and Katy for the cakes, and to all who helped clear up afterwards.
