Men’s Texas Scramble Results
28 teams played in the Men’s Texas Scramble competition yesterday, which is a great turnout considering we only carried out greens maintenance last week, I'm sure the weather helped!. Congratulations to the team of Sean Walker, Nathan Stonelake, Nick Jackson and Andrew Rawlings for winning the event with a nett 48. Robbie Hamilton, Michael Gilchrist, Jamie Horncastle and Ollie Hambleton came second with a nett 49. Joe Froud, Julian Staddon, Alex Hilditch and Andrew Greig were in third with a nett 50. Upcoming Men’s Competitions
The Easter Medal, our first honours board and trophy event of the year, is taking place on Easter weekend. The main day for the competition is Easter Sunday 20th April, with the alternate day on Easter Saturday 19th April. You can email in your tee booking requests up until midday this Thursday to teetimes@bognorgolfclub.co.uk alternatively, you can book the remaining tee times when the competition booking goes live at 6.15 pm on Thursday.
Also note, the Easter Medal is the first qualifying competition in both the Len Hodge and Hollymead Cup competitions.
Masters Sweepstake
A reminder that you have until midday on Thursday to enter the Masters sweepstake. Attached with today's latest news email is the rules sheet along with the groupings to make your selections. Please email your selections to sec@bognorgolfclub.co.uk if you would like to enter.
Fish & Chip Friday – This Friday
This Friday is Fish & Chip Friday, with the Masters being shown live on the big screen in the clubhouse. The menu for the night is attached with today's latest news email. Please contact the bar staff if you would like to book a table.
Men’s Invitation – Saturday 24th May
Entries are open for the Men’s Invitation on Saturday 24th May. This is your opportunity to invite a guest along from another golf club for the day. You will both enjoy a full English breakfast before golf, followed by a 2-course meal after golf and prizes for the competition. This is excellent value for money at just £75 per pair. Speak to your friends and bring them along to show off our wonderful club! You can enter now via the Club V1 app.
2nd Hole Re-Opening – This Sunday
As per my email on Thursday last week, the 2nd hole will be re-opening this Sunday. All groups, that have entered the Captain’s Drive-In competition, have the opportunity to be the first ones to play the hole. The group that bids the highest amount will have their starting hole amended to start from the 2nd hole. The proceeds from this will go to the Captain’s charity. Please reply to this email with your groups bid if you would like to be the first to play the 2nd! There haven’t been any bids yet, so it is still up for grabs!
