Ashford complete the East Kent Alliance (EKA)
Season double after a 20 year wait
Ashford hosted the EKA Single event last Thursday (27/03) with 100 golfers representing 17 clubs playing for: -
· The Founders Trophy – best 5 net scores from 6 – won by Ashford GC with a total of 371 from Sittingbourne GC with a total of 377
Congratulations to the Ashford team of Carlo Barbieri (net 74), Aron Charles (net 74), Melvin Head (net 76), Keith Hopson (net 71), Mark Penfold (net 76) and Dean Wilson (net 79) for this great result
· The Ind Coope Trophy – best gross score – won by Mark Broadhurst – Canterbury GC with a score of 72
· The Kentish Gazette Trophy – best net score – won by Mark Turner – The Ridge GC with a score of 68
Many players complemented the course & the catering on the day, the weather was also excellent, thus completing a great day for Ashford GC.
