As the competition season is nearly upon us, we wanted to provide an update on some changes for 2025. Yearly we review the handicap of members to ensure our sweep and championship classes have an even split. We look at this to ensure fairness to all. As a result of this review the sweep and championship classes have been slightly altered.

Sweeps:
A: 9 and below (remained as per 2024)
B: 10 – 15 (previously 10 – 16)
C: 16 and upwards (previously 17)

Championships playing handicap:
A class 6 – 11 (previously 6 – 12)
B class 12 – 16 (previously 13 – 18)
C class 17 and upwards (previously 19)

Championships handicap index:
A class: 5.2 – 10.6
B class: 10.7 – 15.3
C class: 15.4 and upwards

Sweep money:
We have also looked at the two’s and sweep money which as been set at £1.50 (each) for several years now. This will move up to £2 (each) in 2025.

General play scores:
You will be able to submit general play scores from Monday 31st March as all the greens renovations will be complete, with all the main tees back in operation.

Tee times:
We have been looking at ways to stop the bottlenecks we see throughout the course, so have increased the tee time intervals to 8 mins, from 7 in 2024. We hope this will help with the bottlenecks. To help ease this, we ask that you tee off at the time you have booked not when the group in front are passed the dip on the 1st.
