Amity Cup 2025
Ladies narrowly miss out in Guernsey
A team of 8 Royal Jersey Ladies travelled to Guernsey this week for the annual match against RGGC for the Amity Cup.
Day 1 - in cold windy conditions the Royal Jersey ladies battled well but alas the foursomes matches all went the way of Royal Guernsey by virtue of home advantage and some very sharp putting by their ladies.
Day 2 - Royal Jersey came back strong in the singles taking 5 1/2 points from the 8 available. All the matches were keenly contested so much so it was hard for the teams supporters to follow how the matches were going at times. The sun finally came out with the final few holes.
Our ladies were treated to a lunch on the Monday and Tuesday by RGGC which was very much enjoyed by all.
After winning the Cup the three previous years it was tough to it leave at RGGC, we look forward to inviting them for the rematch at Royal Jersey next year.
Final score 6 1/2 to 5 1/2.
