PREFERRED LIES ARE
WHEN ANY PART OF THE PLAYER’S BALL TOUCHES ANY PART OF THE GENERAL AREA THE PLAYER MAY TAKE RELIEF WITHOUT PENALTY.
THE BALL MAY BE LIFTED, CLEANED AND PLACED WITHIN 6 INCHES OF ITS ORIGINAL POSITION AND NOT NEARER THE HOLE. A PLAYER MAY PLACE HIS BALL ONLY ONCE, AND IT IS IN PLAY WHEN IT HAS BEEN PLACED.
Also note that if the 16th is still a winter green then this will not apply for a Magic 2
