Greens Committee reminder
Golfers support for the course
A polite reminder / request from your Greens Committee.

Can all members please remember 4 easy actions to keep your golf course in top condition.

1- Remember to pick your tee out of the ground. Broken or tees left in the ground are contributing to the blades on the mowing machine to be re sharpened on a more regular basis costing the club and you as members money that could otherwise be spent on improving the course.

2- Now that we are off mats, please remember to replace your divots.

3- please rake bunkers should you find your ball in one. Some members are still not raking over the feet marks as well as their shot.

4- repair your pitch marks on the greens. Everybody should when arriving at a green check for pitch marks. After This Sunday’s competition our green staff reported numerous pitch marks on every green that could easily have been repaired. We have the best greens around Southport. Let’s keep it that way.

It’s not asking alot of everyone to do. I know you will say you do all of what is stated above. Then if it’s not you then it must be other members. So don’t be afraid to tell your playing partners if you see them not doing any of the above to do it.

On behalf of your Greens Committee.

Enjoy your golfing summer season.
