Greens Maintenance - W/C 31st March

A reminder that next week is greens maintenance week. The course will be closed on Monday, and will then re-open on Tuesday. Temporary greens will be in use until the works are finished later in the week. Our Head Greenkeeper talks more about the works his team will be carrying out, in his article in the club magazine.

To get a head start on the works and test out the machinery, the greenkeepers have today carried out the maintenance work on the putting green and chipping greens, and they will also be working on the 2nd green later this week. Don't panic when you walk in and see the putting green, the rest of the greens on the course won't be worked on until Monday.

Sponsorship Opportunities

In the club magazine, we had a page advertising the sponsorship opportunities that exist at the club. I have attached that page with today's latest news email. Members have priority over sponsorship packages until the end of March. From April onwards, we will offer these opportunities out to the wider business community. If you are interested in discussing sponsorship opportunities further, please speak to Richard in the office.

Men's Dinner & Auction - This Friday

A reminder to all those attending the Men's Dinner this Friday night. The auction for the Summer Fourball knockout will be taking place after the meal. If you buy any pairs in the auction, you must pay for them on the night. It is easiest if you bring cash with you for payments but, we can also accept card payments on the night. The total auction pot will be split as follows:

Summer Fourball Winners - The owners of the winning pair receive 50% of the auction fund
Runners-Up - The owners of the runners-up pair receive 30% of the auction fund
Losing Semi-Finalists - The owners of the losing semi-final pairs receive 10% each of the auction fund

If someone else buys your pair, you are entitled to buy up to a 50% share of your pair from your owners. Please note, you must contact the owners to organise this payment before you play your first round match. The auction list with owners contact details will be emailed out on Monday.

The draw for the Summer Fourball knockout will be made after the auction and it will then be available to view on the Club V1 app.

The dress code for Friday night is smart casual, it is anticipated most will wear smart trousers and a shirt, or jacket and tie. Timings wise, it is 7 pm arrival for meal service at 7.30 pm. We have 90 members attending, so it is set to be a fantastic evening!
