Ladies Pairs Winter League Competition

This year saw the biggest entry for this recently introduced competition, resulting in lots of Match Play Golf played through the winter no matter what the weather and course threw at us. From the initial round robin group matches the four pairs who went through to the knockout stages were Lynne Worden/ Kim Griffin, Carol Beaton/Lorraine Wheatley, Madeline Ellis/Terri Wills and Sue Beswick/Claire Bottom.
After extremely close semi-finals the stage was set for this year's final between Terri with Madeline and Lynne with Kim. Giving 10 shots required focus from Lynne and Kim to keep halving holes, but they were beaten eventually on the 19th hole by a delighted Terri and Madeline.....congratulations ladies!
