We have already benefited from the new room in three different ways. First was a business conference, then a large function where it provided much needed additional space, and most recently a footgolf party of 10- and 11-year-olds where we successfully contained the sounds of their excitement!
The room is available to hire by the hour, half-day or day and can be configured as a boardroom for 12 (ish) people, a workshop or dining space for 16 people or an auditorium for up to 25 people. When booked or in use, there will be a sign. If not in use it is available for everyone!
The changing room and lockers in the 19th Hole have been well-used in the past couple of months and it is worth reminding you that, as a member, there is no charge for use of the lockers which are suitable for shoes or valuables. Just see someone at reception for a key.
The new locker room and changing rooms in the other building are progressing well and due to be opened in the next few weeks. Golf club lockers will be available to hire for an annual fee of £100 on a first come, first served basis. Please let us know if you would like to reserve one or if you have any questions about it by emailing reception@oxford-golf.co.uk.
Finally, I would like to update you on additions to the team over the winter months. Rick and Coco joined the clubhouse team already, Rick having transferred back from the greenkeeping team, with Lauren and James (a different James!) joining at the start of April. You will also see our seasonal team return over the coming months as the days get longer and the club busier.
We are perfectly poised for a superb summer season!
