Men’s Midweek Stableford
A field of 78 played the Men’s Midweek Stableford last week. The event was non-qualifying, due to the yardages and tee mats. As one would expect hole 16 played the easiest, at an average of 0.74 over par, hole 10 hardest, with an average of 1.69 over.

Congratulations Ray Crotty who won with an impressive 42 points, two points clear of runner up Peter Vogel on 40.
Kevin Harrington secured third on 39, on count back, from Andrew Macdonald, James Hemmings, James Johnson and Mel Atkins.

James Hemmings took the best gross with his 75
Saturday Mixed Stableford
As the last few comps have been non-qualifying and work was still going on on the tees, Saturday’s mixed Stableford was off the whites for the men, and thus a qualifying event. Hole 4 played the easiest, at 0.56 over par with, as usual, 10 the hardest at 1.68 over

Five players came in on 39 points with Bob Reid winning on countback from Alexander Calpin, Pascal Huser, Jonathan Sherman then Hugh Bett
Best gross went to Duncan Raitt with a 75
Sunday Roll-up
Fifteen players at Sunday roll up, initially starting on frost greens but, with many thanks to Duncan and team, everyone was playing the full course by the 3rd hole.
Third place saw a card play off with Mike Williams scoring an impressive 20 on the back 9 and thus nudging Pascal Huser out of the prizes.
Second place with 37 points went to David Hardman who was also the only player to score a 2 with a chip-in on the 8th.

This week winner, with an enviable 40 points (2 shot cut but for 1 week only, given handicaps will reset for summer roll up starting on 30 March) was Patrick Going, who also very generously donated his £35 winnings to the captains’ charities.
Much anticipation ahead of next week’s last winter roll up, as to who will take the overall spoils (best 4 scores of the season)! And with 36 roll up members for lunch in the Cube Room post play next Sunday, it’s looking to be quite the finale to the season!
That’s All Folks!
