Captains Drive-In & Knockouts Entry

KNOCKOUTS 2025
Please be reminded that entry to the 2025 knockout competitions will close tomorrow at midnight. The draws will be made next week and will be published on V1 and notified to entrants by email.
CAPTAINS' DRIVE-IN
Entry to the Captains' Drive-In on 6th April 2025 will open on V1 tomorrow evening at 2100. Please note the following information:
The Captain and the Ladies' Captains will Drive-In at 0930. The golf competition will be a shotgun start commencing at 1000. The format for this competition is foursomes as this allows us to get the most members onto the course. There will be a buffet courtesy of The Captain following the golf to which all members are invited.
Please enter this competition (in pairs) on your V1 app. Teams can be all male, all female or mixed. There is a maximum playing handicap limit of 28 for all entrants. Entry will be charged at £3.50. This represents a £2.50 entrance fee and a further £1.00 for 'Guess the length of The Captain's Drive' which will go to the Captain's Charity. The fee will be taken when you enter. Please ensure that you have funds in your V1 Gold Card Account.
The entry sheet is timed. PLEASE IGNORE THESE TIMES. This is a shotgun start and everyone will tee off together at 10.00 a.m. Your starting tee will be notified to you on the day.
5 day members are welcome to play if they wish to on payment of a £10.00 Green Fee which will be donated to The Captain's Charity.
In addition to the prizes on offer for the day, the best all male teams gross and net will be invited to represent The Club in the Lancashire Foursomes Competition later in the year. There will be a nearest the pin competition on the 10th hole.
VERTI_DRAINING
Due to the verti-draining work being brought forward, there will be no Men’s or ladies competitions this Tuesday 18th March 2025.
The competitions that were cancelled on 8th April 205 will now be re-instated.
