Currently the bunkers are being re-shaped and drainage installed on the 18th green ready for lining (and Eco-Tech liner installation training) next week.

After lining the areas around the bunkers will be re-turfed with new grass and the new improved buck-brick sand installed. The liner is being trialed to determine if it will improve playability, reduce the maintenance burden and improve recovery times after heavy rain, to determine how we move forward with the plan for further bunker improvements.

As the green is currently out of use we are taking the opportunity to install pipe and gravel drainage in to the green, which will be completed by the end of the week. This is the same process that we have recently done on the first and fourth greens and from this experience we have learnt that the green should be back in about a month (depending on the weather).

We believe that the re-turfing of the bunkers will have a similar recovery time, however, if it does take a little longer we will GUR the affected areas when the green is back in play.
