Robbie Cullen's golf was the highlight of the day as he fired a gross 65 (6 under par) worth 44 points, winning Division 1 and the best gross and stableford score of the day. He had two 2s on the front nine including an eagle on the 5th. His bogey free round included 4 birdies and the one eagle, a great round of golf. In second place in Division 1 was Alan Clayton with 38 points, followed by John Edge also with 38.
In Division 2, James Kirkpatrick took the honours with a superb 41 points. He had 23 points on the back nine to close out a solid 18 on the way out. John Barron took 2nd place with 39 and David Minns in 3rd with 38 points.
There were 23 2's recorded on the day, including 2 from Robbie Cullen and 2 from Stewart O'Neil on the back nine.
In the Order of Merit, Simon Pritchard and Andrew Little still hold the lead with 610 points each. Colin Bannister closed the gap sitting in 3rd place only 10 points behind. Trevor Thompson moved into 4th place, 30 points behind 1st. Looks like it will be a close race with only 3 qualifiers remaining.
Our next Williamson Qualifier is on this Sunday and has a few spaces remaining for booking.
