As a member of an England Golf affiliated club, you are entitled to public liability insurance up to the value of £10million, through Marsh Sport, courtesy of affiliation to England Golf.
If your golf club membership allows access to a rated golf course, you are affiliated to England Golf, and therefore receive insurance cover which includes the following:
• £10,000,000 - Public liability for third party injury
• £10,000,000 - Public liability for third party property damage
You are not covered for:
• Property damage claims below the policy excess (£500)
• Golf equipment
• Ownership/use of buggies
In order to be eligible and activate your public liability insurance cover, you must be registered on the WHS™ portal as a club member. This can be done through your golf club, who are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date member records. They must ensure that your correct first name, last name, email, and date of birth are recorded within your WHS™ portal records. This will then allow you to register and activate your MyEG account and visit your online benefits page via the England Golf website. We would encourage all members to ensure their personal details are up to date, either with their club or logging into their MyEG account online, as failing to do so could affect any future claims.
If you are already registered on the WHS™ portal, then you are automatically covered and no action is required, however, to reiterate, we do advise you to check your information is accurate.
