John visited our hospital on Thursday to hand over the money to Maxine, our hospital charity manager, with the money going to the Centre, which provides care and support to patients with malignant and non-malignant conditions, including blood disorders and cancers.
John regularly organises a charity golf day competition at the local Club to win the Maddock Tankard. This was established by John’s late father Dan and mother Gillian, and John is continuing the tradition, with proceeds going to the Sandra Chapman Centre, who looked after both of his parents.
John said; “The charity day was Dad’s idea and we raise funds through the entry fee for the event and a raffle. We’re delighted to be able to hand over £1,100 after the most recent event.”
Thank you to everyone who supported this fundraising.
