What's been happening
Dear member

Thanks to everyone that has carried over the last few weeks, it makes a huge difference around the course, especially on the high traffic areas.

Having played a couple of different courses recently, it highlighted just how dry our course is compared to many. Our team on the course have verti-drained a few of the wetter greens this week just to encourage the water through the surface and bring them in-line with the rest of the greens.

Thanks also to those that continually take a divot bag out with them, this also assists in improving course conditions.

Despite the cold weather, it's been a busy week at the club, the tee sheet has been busy every day this week.
Matt has also been busy in the shop ordering stock for Autumn Winter 2025/26 and collating the orders for Spring Summer, we have some exciting new Titleist and Foot-Joy products set to arrive early March, the FJ shoe collection being a real highlight. Several Titleist bags arrived this week, both carry and trolley.
We have an end of collection sale on all Turtleson garments, see the team in the shop for offers!

Night golf next Friday is fully booked, thank you very much!
It will be 7 holes consisting of ( 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, Shortened 5th, Shortened 8th and 9th. Shotgun start at 18:00.
There will be a couple of food options following play at players own cost.
Bring a small torch or head torch if you have one.

SCRATCH TEAM
Our winter scratch foursomes team travelled over to a very cold, very wet, very muddy, 15 hole Pavenham park last Sunday. The course was a great leveller and we managed to come away with draw, 1.5 points to 1.5. My thanks to our scratch squad who make themselves available for these sometimes undesirable winter games!
We remain unbeaten in the league this winter with two games left to play.

CAPTAINS CORNER - ANDY TEAGUE (incoming)
This will be a regular feature, updated each month

CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
The drive-in is full when trying to book on V1, however the event is never full! We will always squeeze extra teams in, so if you haven't already entered and wish to play, email the shop and we will add you into the draw when it's made.

JURASSIC COAST WALK
As part of my charity year at the Millbrook I am hoping to create a few shared experiences one of which is a coastal walk on the Jurassic coast 50kms over 2 days 16-17th May 2025.

There will be a just giving page and we are looking for participants to join 16 already committed people.

The walk starts in the Swanage area with a walk to Weymouth, stopover at a premier inn and then 25km day 2, celebrate the task completed and then off home.
To add to that mix I am looking to book golf at the Isle of Purbeck on the Friday and then stopover in Weymouth on the Friday night.

I am hoping that all participants will be able to get sponsorship via the just giving page with an overall target of £10k for the event.

If this is something that you would like to join or need a bit more information or would simply like to support in some way please call me.

We need confirmed interest by the middle of February to book the golf , the walk and the lodgings.

Please email: manager@themillbrook.com if you are interested in taking part.
