Include Me’s role is to create and support the development of Citizen Advocacy partnerships in North-East Fife. Include Me staff accept referrals and recruit, train, match and support volunteers to become Citizen Advocates. Include Me accepts referrals for vulnerable adults aged 16-65 living in North- East Fife who may have a learning or physical disability, a mental health issue or a long-term health condition. Our volunteers are all ages and come from diverse backgrounds.
Advocacy is a way to support people to have a stronger voice and have as much control as possible over their own lives. Our advocates are all volunteers who have a commitment to inclusion, equality and social justice.
Include Me Citizen Advocacy helps safeguard and empower the most isolated and excluded people in North-East Fife. Advocacy allows people to speak up when they have problems, to ensure their rights are protected, and to make sure that they are listened to. It can also help them build ties with their local community and feel like a valued member of society.
