The Golf Course Awards 2024 not only celebrated the achievements of the past year but also emphasized the importance of innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability in golf’s future. The event highlighted how the sport continues to evolve while cherishing its traditions.
The awards event itself took place at the iconic Shard building in London and was hosted by Sky Sports presenter, Nick Dougherty.
“Today is all about recognising, not just golf courses, but golf clubs and golf facilities that are driving progress. There are so many ways to enjoy this game, but it’s important to understand we have a responsibility to advance the sport, to make positive change.“ said Nick.
The Golf Course Awards showcased the outstanding work of Great Britain & Ireland’s most deserving golf courses. The finalist’s event brought together golf courses, judges, partners, and key industry voices, all helping to make that vision a reality.
Whilst Aberdovey unfortunately did not win the award for Wales - it was awarded to Pyle & Kenfig - we were absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted and recognised as one of the top 5 clubs in Wales for the progress we are making across all areas.
We hope to go all the way next year!
