What's been happening
Dear member

Another stop start week weather wise. Unfortunately, as I sit here typing the rain continues to fall, as do the smaller branches from many trees across the course. The green keepers certainly have thier work cut out this week trying to tidy the surfaces up ready for play.

Weather permitting we will also be vert-draining the fairways this week. Please give the tractor time and space should it be working on the same hole as you are playing.

Christmas events are now in full flow, the seniors held thier annual dinner on Friday evening which was, as usual, well supported. Unfortunately the mixed event was affected by storm Darragh, the golf had to be cancelled but the meal went ahead, thanks to our hardy members that braved the weather.
Feedback on the Christmas meal produced by our wonderful kitchen team has been great, my thanks to Emma and her team.

The Christmas carvery is open to all members this Sunday, service starts at 13:30.
Please book at the bar or email: events@themillbrook.com

If you're stuck for Christmas presents, both our teaching professionals can offer lesson vouchers for use during the 2025 season. Alternatively we can produce vouchers for use in the shop...

WINTER LEAGUE
Winter league qualifying has so far been unaffected by the weather, we have already managed to complete five of the six qualifying rounds. The usual suspects are starting to gather toward the top of the standings....Using best 4 scores from the 6 possible qualifiers the top 32 qualify for the KO stages.

The top 10 in the league so far, using best 4 scores are below:
1. S.Woodham/S.Woodham
2. P.McCready/C.Carpenter
3. S.Maguire/C.Parish
4. S.Halley/J.Hannaford
5. J.Procter/S.Durham
6. S.Richardson/J.Schell
7. N.Cilliers/P.Kitching
8. C.Elliott/M.George
9. P.Curley/J.Macanaspie
10. M.Lowe/J.Martin

Round 5 was played in pretty nasty wet conditions, but the scoring was exceptional considering...

3rd = C. Elliott / M. George 43
4th = S. Woodham / S. Woodham 43
