Hi Everyone,
I’d like to extend a big thank you to all those who attended AGMs over the last couple of weeks . It was great to connect with so many of you, and we appreciate your engagement and support.
I also wanted to provide a brief update on our Slow Play Policy and Procedures following last weekends golf . Saturday, November 30th. Both the East and West courses were in great shape, and I’m happy to report that all groups finished within an appropriate time frame relative to the group ahead of them, with average round times ranging between 2:35 and 2:45.
On Sunday, December 1st, the West course recorded an average round time of 2:43, with a very impressive average gap of only 11 minutes between groups. However, there were a few instances late in the day where gaps between groups exceeded this standard:
*Group 1 had a gap of 20 minutes
*Group 2 had a gap of 30 minutes
*Group 3 had a gap of 35 minutes
Fortunately, groups 1 and 2 didn’t cause delays to each other, and group 3 allowed two groups to play through, minimizing the impact. While this was great to see, I’d like to remind everyone the importance of staying on top of pace.
The metric we use to measure slow play is the finishing time between groups. If we start with 10 min gaps on hole 1 we should finish with 10 min gaps ..
Reminder for all players:
*Play ready golf: Be prepared and ready to tee off when the fairway clears.
*Limit ball searches to 3 minutes: Let’s keep the game moving.
*Be ready to play your second shot when it's safe to do so.
*Leave your bag near the exit point of the green and bring the clubs needed for the next shot, as most greens are roped off.
Yours in Spórt & Cairdeas,
Captain Greg
