That Was the Week that Was
Mainly about the weather…
Well it has been a funny old week weather wise. The cold snap saw frost greens in play on Wednesday and whilst, to the eye, they appeared to have thawed on Friday they were still frozen - just not white!
The storm threatened for Saturday morning was a little late in arriving but blew like anything during the night prompting the WhatsApp to be used this morning. Not as alarming as it may have first sounded as the pictured tree was up beyond the 18th and already dead!
The wind continued to blast this morning but did not deter the 14 who joined the roll up.
There was only one 2, which was bagged by Stewart Robertson. The main result was very close with countbacks on all podium places. Chas Bain just pipped Dennis Culligan into 3rd place with 34 points (13 on the back 6 against Dennis’ 12).
On 35 points, 2nd place went to Charlie Dyos-Hunter narrowly missing out to Paul Moran - also on 35.
Back to back wins for Paul and a new pic to honour the achievement!
