Dear Members,
As we move towards the end of the year, we wanted to update you on progress on key areas and the exciting plans for 2025.
New Website Launch:
We’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new website, now live at www.fortwilliamgc.co.uk! Built on the Club V1 platform, the site is designed to offer an improved and integrated experience, creating the perfect ‘first touch’ for prospective visitors and an easy to navigate website for members. We’re committed to continuously refining our online presence in the coming months, ensuring it remains the best digital introduction to our club.
Social Media Growth:
We’re excited to share that Fortwilliam GC is now fully active on both Facebook and Instagram! In just three weeks, we’ve increased our followership by 95 people, seen 750 follower interactions, and achieved an impressive 14,000 screen impressions. Our aim with these platforms is to keep Fortwilliam GC top-of-mind as a go-to destination for golf, dining, and entertainment in North Belfast. We’ll continue to engage and share the latest updates, so make sure to follow us if you haven’t already!
Sponsorship Programme Success:
Our sponsorship programme continues to be a crucial income stream for the club, and we’re thrilled with the recent response! Since opening the opportunity to members and their contacts just two weeks ago, we’ve already secured sponsorship for over 50% of our Tee Boxes, featuring a great mix of old and new supporters. As we move forward, our goal is to unify the sponsorship programme under consistent terms and conditions when existing agreements expire. Keep an eye out for refreshed signage appearing around the course from the end of this week, and we encourage any additional referrals to help maintain this momentum!
Golfing Societies Update:
Golfing societies are a cornerstone of visitor revenue, and in the past month we are now actively marketing Fortwilliam GC as a preferred destination for golfing societies! We are aiming to provide a welcoming society course combining golf and clubhouse at market competitive rates. To make it even easier to find Fortwilliam GC and explore our options, we’ve added a dedicated societies webpage. We’ve already reached out directly to over 50 societies in our network, and we’re thrilled to report that inquiries and bookings for 2025 are already coming in!
300 Club Lotto 2025 launch coming soon...
Exciting news! In the coming week, we’ll share more details about our new 300 Club Lotto. This initiative will see 300 tickets available at £120 each, with a £1,000 prize draw taking place every month throughout 2025. Net funds raised - totalling £24,000 maximum - will be strictly dedicated to crucial capital projects and enhancements to the course that directly impact its playability, look and feel. Members can expect a transparent course improvement plan, with cross-committee involvement to identify the most impactful opportunities. Tickets can also be syndicated, so consider teaming up for your chance to win!
