Sunday Lunches

A reminder that we have Sunday Lunch with Jazz this Sunday. A copy of the poster including the menu is attached with today's latest news email.

We also have a Sunday Lunch carvery coming up on Sunday 24th November.

Christmas Party Nights

We have 2 Christmas Party Nights in December. The first of these is Friday 20th December and we have live music with Beth Hendrick. The second is Saturday 21st December with a DJ booked. More information is on the attached poster. Please add your name to the table plan on the notice board in the Spike Bar if you would like to attend. You are welcome to bring family and friends along.

Lost Headcover

Last Saturday, a Spider putter cover was lost on the course. If you picked it up and forgot to hand it in, please can you let the Pro Shop know.

Seniors Inter-Services Report

The Senior Gentleman finished their season with an Inter-Service Team Event to have both a jolly good time and raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

There were four teams: - The Army, Home Guard, Navy and Royal Air Force.

The overall event saw three players scoring 35 points on the day with Steve King winning on Countback from David Chalmers and Malcolm Worner. Winners of individual Services were Ron Stevens, Colin Chalmers, Ian Kracke and Ian Morrison with Roy Kempson, George Weir, Jules Staddon and Eric Payne taking away prizes for nearest the pins.

Alan Fitzgerald led a short Service of Remembrance, followed by a minute’s Silence completed with a rendition of The Last Post on the keyboard.

There was a collection on the day for the R.B.L. of £235, 5 Euros and 41p. Hooray. This was added to money in entrance fees plus a donation from Senior Funds enabling £500 to be sent as our contribution to the R.B.L. for 2024. A truly generous and enjoyable conclusion to the year
