Course Update, General Play Cards, Men's Erleigh Foursomes, Ladies Results
Course Update
We are now back to 18-holes with the 2nd hole closed and 17a in play. Please walk to the left hand side and around the back of the 2nd green to get to the 3rd tee. Please stay off the turfed and hydro-seeded areas.
Please note – the new ditch on the 3rd hole is GUR until further notice. This includes the banks of the ditch where the hydro-seed has been applied. If your ball is in the ditch or in the hydro-seed area, you must take a drop, without penalty, within one club length of the nearest point that avoids the hydro-seeded area.
The recently turfed area in the 3rd fairway is also GUR. This area has been roped off, please do not walk on it or take trolleys across the new turf.
Course Re-Rating
The golf course has now been re-rated following the changes to the 2nd and 3rd holes however, due to a backlog at England Golf, it is likely that we won’t find out the results of the re-rating until early in the New Year. We will update members when this information is available.
Over the next few months, the Golf Committee will be reviewing the stroke indices allocated to holes on our course. More information about this in due course.
General Play Cards
General play cards can now be submitted again. As the 2nd hole is closed, you should select the option for ‘hole not played’ when entering your score. You will automatically be given a nett par for this hole for handicap purposes. Do not enter your score from 17a.
For the purposes of matchplay competitions, 17a assumes the par and stroke index of the 2nd hole whilst it is closed.
Men’s Erleigh Foursomes KO
Entries are now open on the Club V1 app for the Men’s Erleigh Foursomes knockout competition. The closing date for entries is Friday 22nd November. The rules and information for this competition are attached with today's latest news email.
Ladies Turkey Stableford Results
56 ladies played in the Turkey Stableford competition on Tuesday. Congratulations to Jo Owen for winning the competition with 35 points. Sue Monger and Suzanne Burns both had 29 points. The full results are attached with today's latest news email.
