Club Nominated for Prestigious Greenkeeping Award
Our club has been nominated for a BIGGA Award 2025 namely the Championship Performance of the Year.
BREAKING NEWS:
The Irvine Golf Club has been nominated for a BIGGA (British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association) Award 2025 namely the Championship Performance of the Year.
We were nominated by Toni Finch at Scottish Golf following our incredible performance in preparing the golf course for the Boys’ Open Championship earlier this year.
"This event, in April, had to contend with extremely challenging conditions both in the lead up to and during the competition. The greenkeeping team worked tirelessly to present the course to an exceptional standard in the face of real adversity and they played a crucial part in allowing us to complete the tournament on time".
Finalists will be announced later in November, with the winners revealed at the BIGGA Welcome Celebration at BTME (BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition) 2025 on Tuesday 21st January 2025.
Huge congratulations to Derek and his team, along with the volunteers who stepped up during the event to help out.
