Couple of competitions to report on. I will start with our most recent one as it was a major.
The re arranged Wychwood Bowl major was played as a shotgun and the recent presentation awards followed. A new idea from our Captain and one that may well now follow every year.
Only 59 taking to the field, bit of a surprise as it was a major and free food on afterwards. However, 60 players seems to be the average for a comp throughout 2024.
Taking the honours with 41 points, and his 2nd bord comp of the year, Mr Eddy Sterling. Well played mate, the 1 point extra making the difference as two players finished on 40 points. Vinay Adatia & Andy Hunter narrowly missing out. Full prizes & podium below.

This was played in quite testing conditions at times, anyone beating 40 points did extremely well. Father & son combo Mark & Tom Stevenson shot 43pts late on and whilst sipping my Guinness I wasn’t sure that would get beat. But up stepped regular winter league competitors Neil Bailey & Lee Kemp with 44pts. Well played lads, very good in those conditions and lucky it was not a qualifier. That puts you firmly at the top of the winter league table after 2 rounds. Table now in the doc’s section on the app. Prizes and podium below.
