Details announced for Captains’ Dinner
Saturday 5th October
It is rapidly getting to that time again when we think about celebrating another
successful year with our Captains.
This year, the Captains’ Dinner will be on Saturday October 5 in the Devora Suite –
as is usual, it will be formal dress to make it feel more of a special occasion.
Tickets will be priced at £45 per person which will include a three-course meal and
dancing till late to the sounds of Funk Soul Lovers - a premium function and party
band from the South East, specialising in the soul, funk and Motown hits of the 60's
and 70's.
Provisional details are that guests will arrive from 6.30pm, with food being served
from 7.30pm.
Last orders at the bar will be 11.45pm with the bar then closing and music stopping
at midnight.
The menu for the night will be as follows:
Starters:
• Classic Prawn Cocktail with shredded iceberg lettuce, citrus scented
cocktail sauce, cucumber ribbons
Or the vegetarian alternative:
• Trio of Melon, vanilla, citrus and rose water syrup
Main courses:
• Roast Breast of Chicken, button onions, mushrooms and tarragon
sauce
Or the vegetarian alternative:
• Butternut Squash and sage tortellini with wild mushroom and pea
sauce
Both main courses will be served with herb roasted new potatoes and
seasonal vegetables
Desserts:
• Boxford Farms apple crumble tart with custard
Or:
• Chocolate and salted caramel marquis, raspberry coulis and caramel
ice cream
