ESN ladies looking good !
Table topping Ladies
After 3 matches our ESN ladies top their group

The first match away, was played at Ifield, in glorious sunshine. With the course still recovering from the months of rain,  the greens were tricky and with only four out of the five players available to the team the odds look stacked against us. However our ladies Alex, Sue H, Liz and Jane played well, overcoming the 1 down deficit from the start, to nip a 3:2 win.

The next match away at Lindfield, the team not only faced the cold wet weather we have all become so accustomed to, but also had to give a total of 40 shots across 5 players. Local knowledge certainly helped the home team but once again our ladies, Jane, Debbie, Liz, Alex, Sue H  battled through. However we were not quite able to climb the mountain this time and just lost 2:3.

Our last match to wrap up the month of May was at home, again against Lindfield. The drizzle returned but this time we only had to give a total of 32 shots. Our local knowledge and the greens still being a lot quicker than the visitors were used to, meant our ladies Jane, Sandra, Liz, Corrina and Moira secured a comfortable 4:1 win.

After 3 matches and 2 wins ESN ladies now find themselves at the top of their group. equal on points with Lindfield, but just edging ahead with total number of games won.

Hopefully current form can continue with another 2 home games to follow, the first being on the 6th June against Mannings Heath

Ladies match organiser Jane Saunders said ‘ I want to thank all the ladies who have played for the club so far this season. We have had great fun and look forward to what June will bring’
