Disappointing defeat for ESN scratch team
9 1/2 - 2 1/2 points loss against holders
The scratch team were soundly beaten by a strong Pyecombe team on Saturday.
3-1 down after the morning foursomes with Lee Drew & Steve Graham winning their game on the 18th.
The team needed a strong start in the afternoon and although 5 matches went to 18th , were unable to collect the 5 points required to progress with Steve Graham - win & Ethan Randall -half the only points of the afternoon singles.
The team will look to improve in the plate competition.
