A Team v Handsworth GC Tuesday 7th May
Match Report
The A Team enjoyed some much needed summer weather for our first match of this season at Handsworth GC this afternoon.
The course was in great condition having come through this Winter largely unscathed!! My thanks go to all Maxstoke members who participated especially those who stepped in at the 11th hour to ensure we had a full team - Landis, Chris and Tom.
Special thanks to Club Captain Earl who yo-yoed in and out of the selection over the last couple of weeks.
An excellent pork dinner followed by apple pie and custard was enjoyed by all who played.
Handsworth captain John and his fellow members made us welcome and good golf was played by all.
The final result was a 3 - 3 draw against a strong Handsworth Team; we look forward to the return match on 6th June.
