Hambro v Flempton
Gallant Hambro side DQ on technicality
It is very sad to report that our Hambro Side fell foul of a ruling in their 1st round match v Flempton this Sunday.
After a lot of excellent preparation by the new Captain Daniel Crosby refreshing the side with a mix of old and new.
Daniel played in the morning with junior Louis Bayfield and 13 year old Max Elliott in the afternoon. Both juniors being debutants and performed brilliantly. As did the whole side winning 19 up on the day.
Then came the news on Monday that one of our players had not entered the sufficient 5 Competitions scores in the last year (due to injury) and therefore was illegible causing the 36 holes he'd played to be deemed as losses, thus overturning the Match 15 to Flempton It is true to say we should have checked it more thoroughly and it is such a shame that a great performance on the course is struck down in such a manner.
