Tolly Match
Loss for the Tolley Team
The Tolly team had a nice early start on Sunday having a 60 mile trip to play Bury GC.

In blustery cold conditions with 3 of the team not having played a practice round for reasons that will remain nameless the team put up a sterling performance and having witnessed some good/lucky escapes by the home team players in the morning round but finishing 8 down.

With one change in the afternoon and introducing Junior Luca Rushbroke for his first taste of Mens County golf the afternoon session went a lot better with an overall 1 up win leaving us with an eventual loss of 7 down for the match.

A great effort from all 9 of the lads who represented the club with great honour and made sure the team didn't have things all their own way.

Big thanks to Club President Howard Thornton and Club Captain Howard Kellett for their attendance which just happened to coincide with lunch, the guys did appreciate it and maybe that was their inspiration to win the afternoon session.
