Course update
Course update
Well it’s been another week of what can only be described as difficult and frustrating conditions. Through the day it will has been relatively pleasant but heavy overnight rain has left the course unplayable. Some areas seem wetter now than they have been through the whole of the winter period. Fingers crossed that this weekend sees us dry out a little.
The forecast is for some rain which is heavy at times and strong winds up to 50 to 60 mph thanks to Storm Kathleen.
With the current conditions in mind and the forecast for the next 48 hours the course will hopefully reopen tomorrow with 12 holes in play, this will see holes 1,5,6,7,13 and 14 closed and no trolleys will be allowed and some temporary greens maybe in play.
We fully appreciate that everyone is wanting to play the full 18 holes but currently that is just not achievable but we will return to a full course as soon as possible.
Again due to the conditions, many areas of the course haven’t been cut due to the team not being able to take machinery out. The greens have been hand cut this morning and some fairways were cut earlier in the week along with the tees and surrounds but no rough cutting has been possible.
We hope you have a good weekend.
Adam and the team.
