72 players from 24 clubs competed on a cold, extremely wet day and battled valiantly in the knowledge that every shot might make the difference for their team total. Each club fielded a team of three, and the aggregate of two stableford scores per team counted.
Burham sat second in the club house for some time but as the rain stopped the latter groups took advantage and Burham held on to end a very respectable sixth overall.
There were some excellent scores despite the appalling weather. In the end, The Springs team stormed to victory by 7 points and will represent BB&O in the national final at Woodhall Spa later in the year.
Thanks go to all three Burnham players.
