Notice to All Members - Clubhouse Refurbishment & Debenture Scheme
The work on the Clubhouse is continuing at pace.
Members will be able to use the 19th Bar & Lounge area from this Saturday, 4th February. There are still new patio doors and a window to be fitted before this phase of the refurbishment is complete. However, the Snooker Room will remain closed for the time being.
I do hope that everyone will approve of the work done to date and enjoy the new facility.
The Hopwood Suite and Lounge will remain open for this weekend but will close on Monday 6th February so the remainder of the refurbishment can continue.
We will be using the Chapel as an over spill area until the project is finished, and all Bars & Lounges are fully open. We are on schedule for completion by the end of March at the latest, ready for the start of our Golfing Season.
The refurbishment has been made possible by a generous member’s donation, a sponsorship deal with JW Lees and a debenture scheme. This scheme has so far raised, with pledges, £105k, which is £15k short of our original target.
In order to be able to deliver our scheme as originally presented to members we do need to raise this additional capital.
I will be in the 19th on Saturday afternoon to answer any questions members may still have with regard to the refurbishment and also to ask for your support in fully subscribing the Debenture Scheme. I look forward to meeting as many members as possible.
