Greens Work
Tree Maintenance
With snow on the ground and not being able to cut grass or work on bunkers, this has allowed the team to move on with some tree management.

Most obvious change at this time will be the removal of one of the trees to the left of the first green, this tree was rotten at the base and had recently begun to lean, this tree was identified in the tree survey as one to be removed.

Another removed was a small tree at the ditch on 17th, there are a couple of larger trees to be removed here also, which will open up the second shot from the left of the fairway, all the trees felled are suffering from 'ash die-back' common across the country. You can see from the image the hollow trunk on the tree already removed!

These trees have been removed as part of the woodland management assessment conducted last year, once the weather improves we plan to hire a stump grinder for 5 days to remove the unsightly remaining bases of felled trees around the course.
