On Saturday 27 April, 2024, in testing conditions Gorleston Ladies Weston Team of, Debbie Jary, Jules Harbord, Chloe Punter, Marie Norman and Pauline Phillips, played their first match of the 2024 Season away to Halesworth Ladies.

You may remember that we were promoted at the end of the 2023 Season to Division 2. The Weston is a Suffolk Ladies County Golf Association Competition. It is played in a singles match play format by teams of five ladies who have to go out in strict handicap order.

Our opponents were in Division One last season and we realised it was going to be a very tough match. We lost the match two points to three which result we are very happy with taking everything into consideration.

There are six teams in our Division so we have four matches left to play.. Huge congratulations to our Team of ladies who were captained on the day by Jules Harbord, Immediate Past Captain. I understand that the match was played in a superb spirit.

Our next match is away to Rookery Park on Saturday 2 June.
