Preferred Lies
Close Mown areas ONLY from April 27th
After liaising with our ground staff, a decision has been made that as of the the opening of play on Saturday 27th April 2024 the ‘preferred lie’ status of the course will revert back from ‘in the general area’ to ‘fairways and areas cut to fairway height or less’ only.
This will means that the April Medal will be ‘acceptable for handicap purposes’.
NB. Hole numbers 4 & 13 (High Lane) - There may be areas of this fairway that are longer than normal fairway height due to the ground staff being unable to get heavy cutting machinery onto it. For the purpose of this rule these areas are still considered to be the fairway and players are entitled to prefer their lie in the normal manner.
